Monitor Calibration (simplified)
"Calibrate" your monitor.
The photos shown on this site may not look right if the brightness of your monitor is set differently than expected.
The ribbon below should contain 16 distinct squares, including one on the left of pure black, and one on the right of pure white.
Usually you will be able to see all 16 squares by adjusting only the brightness of your monitor, but in some circumstances you might have to adjust the contrast too.
